Partnership with Radley College

Rose Hill Primary School is proudly partnered with Radley College. 

The partnership between Radley College and Rose Hill Primary School is based on meaningful collaboration that benefits both schools while addressing the specific needs of Rose Hill’s pupils. This relationship is built on mutual respect and shared goals, with Radley College tailoring its support to enhance educational outcomes for Rose Hill children while simultaneously fostering confidence, initiative, and leadership skills in its own students.

One of the initiatives is the focus on literacy through the Radley Readers and Phonics Flyers programmes. These schemes are designed to support early reading development at Rose Hill, with Radley pupils working closely with younger children to improve their phonics skills and foster a love of reading. By providing targeted assistance, the partnership aims to raise attainment levels among our children, helping them to build essential literacy foundations. For the Radley boys, this experience nurtures empathy, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by educators.

In addition to literacy support, Radley’s Young Sports Leaders play a role in delivering physical education lessons at Rose Hill. These sessions are carefully planned to encourage teamwork and physical activity among primary school pupils while offering Radley students the chance to develop leadership and organisational skills. By taking on roles such as coaching and mentoring, the college boys gain confidence and learn how to adapt their approach to engage younger learners effectively.

This partnership is has shared outcomes; Rose Hill pupils benefit from extra academic and extracurricular support that enhances their educational experience. At the same time, Radley students are given opportunities to step into leadership roles, develop initiative, and grow into well-rounded individuals.
